The Drilling Company began commissioning short works by American authors in 1999. Between 1999 - 2015 the company produced 23 evening of themed short works by over 300 playwrights from all across America. by emerging writers. Collections spawned countless publications and awards. In 2022 TDC re-inaugurated it's short play project program.
