A Brooklyn couple gets a tip for an idyllic month-long stay in a cabin on a lake in upstate NY. It’s 2020, COVID. With a few dreams in tow and hopes of starting a family they head north. But when they meet the caretaker of the cabin, an adventure begins that will change them forever.

(PLAYWRIGHT) is an actor, playwright, solo performer, and co-founder of the theater company ARA. He has appeared on CBS’s Bull and is a 15-year member of the troupe Shakespeare in the Parking Lot where he has performed in many of the great roles, including Puck, Iago, Prince Hal and Don Pedro. His solo work has toured internationally, and has had the audience of dignitaries such as Madeline Albright. Drew’s solo work is called FRANZ FRAGMENTS, a sprawling endeavor in which Drew theatrically probes various works of Franz Kafka, which has appeared on numerous stages and alternative spaces. Highlights include A REPORT TO AN ACADEMY and FRANZ/DREW (nominated for best actor and playwright in the Midtown International Theater Festival, NYC). The New York times describes Drew as a “glowing delight” and Creative Loafing says he is “a gifted performer who makes it all seem effortless.”
(KIMBER) is a long-time acting and directing member of The Drilling Company; she created the role of Betty in the Drill’s Off-Broadway NY Times Critic’s Pick hit, The Norwegians, and was cited by The New York Times as one of their top 25 Magical and Quirky performances that year. Other TDC roles with Bryant Park Shakespeare and Shakespeare in the Parking Lot include Emilia in Othello, Mistress Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Dromio of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors, Gertrude in Hamlet, Maria in Twelfth Night. Karla is a member of Bobby Moresco’s NY Actors’ Gym at AMT Theater, and her regional theatre roles include King Lear, Blithe Spirit, The House of Blue Leaves, Candide, Our Country’s Good, and the title role in The Heiress. Film appearances include Household Accounts and Avow, written and directed by the late, great Bill C. Davis. As director, Karla’s production of Hamlet in Bryant Park (with a female Hamlet) played to audiences of over 800 nightly. Artistic Director of 78th Street Theatre Lab from 1995-2008 where he created, produced, or nurtured hundreds of new plays. Other New York credits include work with New Circle Theatre, The Acting Company, Circle in the Square, Cherry Lane Theatre, Symphony Space, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Barrow Street Theatre, 45 Bleecker, 59E59, Dixon Place, The Barrow Group, Vital Joint, HERE, Incubator Arts Project, The Brick, and Classic Stage Company. Founding Artistic Director for Actors Repertory Theatre in Chicago 1987-1993. Chicago credits include work with Victory Gardens Theatre, Bailiwick Repertory Theatre, Chicago Dramatists Workshop and Second City. (Costume + Prop Design + Set Assistant) is an Award-winning performer, Filmmaker, and co-founder of ARA Theater & Media. She has studied theater at GITIS-Moscow Art school, worked with legendary clowns Slava Polunin, Bill Irwin, and David Shiner. Been performing professionally since debuting alongside the Beijing’s children’s opera 20 years ago and have toured her own solo clown shows under guidance of Kendal Cornell and Felix Ivanov to various festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe. Her upcoming work includes the World Premiere of her short film Where Is Now at the New York Shorts Int’l Film Festival in October in NYC. Under her theater company ARA, she is currently devising an absurd piece of theater, Piff, Paff, Poof: The Magic of Nothing that had its first showing at Theaterlab in 2023. And she will direct a brand new adaptation of Franz Kafka’s Der Bau that had its debut at the Czech Embassy in Washington DC.
